New Jeans' Haerin Fronts Dior's Latest Dior Oblique Campaign
Shot in New York, the photographs capture the K-Pop star wearing the Maison’s signature emblematic pieces in an unprecedented jacquard denim.
New York is a palpable city with unmatched energy and stylish charisma. For the launch of Dior’s new collection featuring the Denim Dior Oblique jacquard, the streets of the Big Apple serve as the Maison’s playground. The sprightly campaign editorial stars Dior Ambassador Haerin of the rising K-Pop quintet NewJeans in quintessential House silhouettes and icons but in fresh denim fabrics.
Dreamt up by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s Creative Director, the new signature pattern is woven on denim with a vintage effect. The iconic motif is outlined in mesmerizing shades of blue and white, mimicking the different denim washes in its utilitarian and rugged nature. The jacquard is then interpreted in exceptional emblematic pieces like the Dior Book Tote, the Saddle, the Dior Toujours, and the East-West model in the 30 Montaigne line.
The innovation is an expression of the House’s continued pursuit of modernity, and Haerin perfectly suits the campaign that showcases the youthful spirit and contemporary nature of Chiuri’s Dior. The 18-year-old global sensation is seen strutting around the dynamic alleys of NYC while totting an iconic piece from the Maison’s storied collection of bags. Photographed by Tanya & Zhenya Posternak, these street-style photography images are then juxtaposed beside brightly lit studio snaps to showcase the duality and versatility of the curiously casual yet sophisticated collection.
