Jennie Becomes Jean Paul Gaultier's Ultimate Muse in Pre-Fall 2025 Campaign
K-pop sensation and global fashion icon Jennie has been unveiled as the face of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Pre-Fall 2025 campaign, earning the title of “Ultimate Gaultier Muse.”
Marking the debut collection under new Creative Director Duran Lantink, the campaign made waves in the fashion world by featuring Jennie—a familiar yet ever-evolving figure from BLACKPINK. The collection, crafted by Gaultier’s in-house team in Paris, reflects the brand’s signature edge, with intricate corsetry, precision tailoring, and clever trompe-l'œil effects. The designs are rooted in the four classical elements—water, fire, earth, and air—and serve as a celebration of identity through performance and emotion.
Speaking about the campaign, Jennie shared:
“This campaign felt like stepping into a dream. Every look had its own energy—fluid, fiery, grounded or light—and I loved expressing all those sides of myself through Gaultier’s incredible designs. Jean Paul Gaultier has always inspired me to be bold, and this was truly a celebration of that spirit.”
Shot by Emmy Award-winning artist Max Siedentopf, the visuals blur the line between fantasy and reality, drawing viewers into the surreal world of Jean Paul Gaultier. Jennie, as the “ultimate muse”, brings her own fearless spirit to the forefront—bold, sensual, and completely in tune with the maison’s DNA. Each piece in the collection becomes a new mode of expression, bridging Gaultier’s iconic legacy with the rhythm of modern fashion.
According to the brand, Jennie embodies “a showgirl who commands the stage within the Gaultier visual universe. Her presence adds depth to each design, fusing raw strength with genuine beauty.”
Though she’s served as a global ambassador for CHANEL since 2017, Jennie is known for her eclectic style choices. At Coachella 2025, she turned heads in looks by Mugler and Georges Hobeika. She’s long been spotted in Jean Paul Gaultier pieces, both onstage and on the red carpet. Earlier this year, she made a splash at the Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture show in Paris—her first appearance at a Gaultier show—sitting beside the legendary founder in a sheer beaded dress from the house’s Spring 2008 couture collection.
