Chanel Brings Their Cruise 2026 Show to Singapore in November
The renowned French Maison returns to Singapore for the first time since 2013
After a glittering debut on the storied shores of Lake Como this April, Chanel’s Cruise 2026 collection will resurface in Singapore on 4 November 2025. The maison’s decision to restage its latest Cruise show in the Lion City is more than a replica show—it’s a reaffirmation of the brand’s cultural gravitas and long-standing relationship with Southeast Asia.
Originally unveiled at the opulent Villa d’Este on 29 April, the Cruise 2026 collection was a study in high-gloss elegance—imagine screen siren glamour colliding with breezy Riviera chic. Think Bardot by the lake, only reimagined through Chanel’s unmistakable lens: raffia tweeds, sculptural eveningwear with sun-kissed sparkle, flowing silks fit for a coastal escape, and just enough leather and monochrome tailoring to keep the Parisian edge sharp.
That night, the front row was lined with a constellation of stars: Keira Knightley, Sofia Coppola and Lupita Nyong’o among them. And if the buzz around the Singapore show is anything to go by, the sequel could prove just as dazzling—if not more so.
The Guest List: A Global Guessing Game
As ever with Chanel, the mystery is half the magic. The guest list remains tightly under wraps, but speculation is already rampant. Will Jennie, the K-pop phenom dubbed the “Human Chanel”, make a headline-grabbing appearance? Or might Park Seo-jun or Wang Yibo fly in for the evening? There’s also chatter around Thai darlings ALLY and Gemini, while some whisper Kendrick Lamar could be on the cards—a left-field but not unlikely cameo, given the rapper was just announced as their new brand ambassador and the maison’s longstanding affinity for global creatives across fashion, film and music.
What is clear: expect a who’s who of Chanel ambassadors, Asia’s fashion elite, and a tight circle of tastemakers with front-row credentials.
Why Singapore?
Speaking to The Straits Times, Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion at Chanel, was candid about the decision to return to Singapore more than a decade after the maison’s last Cruise presentation there. “Singapore is one of the cities of Chanel,” he said. “We have a strong, loyal base of customers that has been increasing in the past 30 years. It’s an important hub in our development.”
It was back in 2013 that the late Karl Lagerfeld brought the house’s Cruise vision to the Loewen Cluster on Dempsey Hill, a lush enclave once home to a nutmeg plantation. Lagerfeld himself attended, adding to the show’s historic weight. Now, more than a decade later, the maison is plotting its return—but as yet, the exact venue remains a mystery.
What’s known is that Chanel doesn’t simply select spaces—they craft cinematic backdrops. Hong Kong’s Cruise 2025 restaging was a reinvention of the Marseille presentation that preceded it. And now, with Lake Como as its starting point, Singapore becomes the next chapter in a story that blends location, heritage and fantasy.
Pavlovsky himself dropped a tantalising hint: “We’re in one of the best sceneries here in Lake Como. I’ll leave you to guess what that could be in Singapore.” Could we see Chanel transform the Marina Bay Sands? Or will they opt for something more intimate—perhaps a colonial-era villa, or a sleek architectural landmark overlooking the water?
