Fresh off their high energy &lsquo;In Your Fantasy&rsquo; concert in Singapore, we caught up with the eight members to talk all things music and to see what the group has been up to.

ATEEZ are doing things their own way. As one of the most successful K-pop groups to emerge outside the traditional &ldquo;Big 3&rdquo; entertainment agencies, they have built a career defined by ambition and self-belief. Under KQ Entertainment, HONGJOONG, SEONGHWA, YUNHO, YEOSANG, SAN, MINGI, WOOYOUNG and JONGHO have carved out a path that feels distinctly theirs. Their fanbase, known as ATINY, has grown steadily not only in South Korea but around the world.
Eight years into their career, ATEEZ continue to break new ground. They recently secured their first Billboard Hot 100 entries with &lsquo;Lemon Drop&rsquo; and &lsquo;In Your Fantasy&rsquo;, and celebrated their fifth No. 1 on Billboard&rsquo;s Top Album Sales chart with &lsquo;GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3&rsquo;, further cementing their growing global impact.
Since their last show in Singapore three years ago, ATEEZ have <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/ateez-le-sserafim-the-rose-to-perform-at-coachella-2024-kpop-celebrity-news" title="ATEEZ, Le Sserafim and The Rose to Perform at This Year&rsquo;s Coachella" target="_blank" rel="noopener">performed at Coachella</a> and continued to expand their international presence. Now, they return with new stages, a live band and even bigger production for <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/culture/ateez-brought-house-down-in-your-fantasy-world-tour-singapore-kpop-concert-review-music" title="ATEEZ Brought The House Down with Their &lsquo;In Your Fantasy&rsquo; World Tour in Singapore" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the &lsquo;In Your Fantasy&rsquo; World Tour</a>. At the Singapore Indoor Stadium, they delivered a powerful, tightly executed performance, with ATINY matching their energy from start to finish. The addition of solo stages for each member brought something new to the show, highlighting the individual colours that come together to form ATEEZ&rsquo;s distinctive identity.

The tour arrives soon after their latest comeback, &lsquo;GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4&rsquo;, the group&rsquo;s 13th EP. With this release, ATEEZ move forward with renewed confidence and ambition, fully embracing their expanding global reach. They kicked off 2026 with &lsquo;Adrenaline&rsquo;, a fast-paced lead single that fuses their explosive, larger-than-life sound with a driving EDM edge, highlighting the intensity and precision they are known for.
&ldquo;We prepared many songs for this year,&rdquo; group captain HONGJOONG explained. &ldquo;When we started this project, we felt this track had the energy and impact we needed. That&rsquo;s why we chose it as the title song.&rdquo;&nbsp;The following track, &lsquo;NASA&rsquo;, carries a similar sense of urgency, this time channelled through a powerful hip-hop sound and a thumping bassline. Across its five tracks, &lsquo;GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4&rsquo; continues the series&rsquo; narrative, exploring determination and conviction amid clashing emotions. It also marks their first official project since renewing their contracts, signalling a meaningful turning point in their eight-year career.
We spoke to all eight members the day after their Singapore concert, while the adrenaline was still fresh, to reflect on how far they have come and to take a closer look at the story behind &lsquo;GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4&rsquo;.

Welcome back to Singapore! You were here during your "The Fellowship: Break The Wall" tour in 2023, and three years later you&rsquo;re back to perform your new music. How has the last 3 years been since you performed here? 
SAN: Yeah, it&rsquo;s been a while. We&rsquo;ve been working really hard. We went to Coachella, performed at a lot of festivals, released many albums, and now, finally, we&rsquo;re back here!&nbsp;
What were your highlights from Singapore? Did you guys get some time to explore Singapore the last time you were here? Did you get to eat some local food? 
SEONGHWA: We had chili crab when we visited last time. It was so delicious that we ate quite a lot, and I remember the bill came out pretty high, which was fun. I&rsquo;m not sure if we&rsquo;ll have enough time during this visit, but I keep thinking I&rsquo;d love to come back again, even just for a personal trip.&nbsp;
For your "In Your Fantasy" world tour, what kind of stages and performances can fans look forward to, and what lessons have you learned from your previous tours? 
YUNHO: As we prepared the solo stages for each member, I think everyone grew and learned a lot. Filling the stage on your own requires a lot of energy and different elements, so while preparing for that on tour, we gained valuable experience and confidence.
Let&rsquo;s talk about your latest EP, &lsquo;GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4&rsquo;! Tell us about your lead single &ldquo;Adrenaline.&rdquo; Why did you pick that track to introduce the project? 
HONGJOONG: &ldquo;Adrenaline&rdquo; is a very powerful and energetic song. As we started a new year, we felt we had to show ATEEZ&rsquo;s energetic side. We prepared many songs for this year, but when we thought about how to begin this project, we knew we needed something impactful. This song has that energy and impact, so that&rsquo;s why we chose it as the title track.

This is the fourth chapter of the GOLDEN HOUR series. Tell us more about the concept of GOLDEN HOUR, and will there be more chapters in this series? 
HONGJOONG: I think no one really knows about that. Actually, everyone might have guesses, but we can&rsquo;t say anything yet. No one can tell you about the next chapter or series. We just want to explore more interesting moments of ATEEZ. For 'GOLDEN HOUR', we&rsquo;ve never done a fourth chapter before. Usually, we finish at the third chapter and then do an epilogue or a spin-off. This is our first time continuing to a fourth chapter. I don&rsquo;t know what&rsquo;s coming next either, but I can say it will be very interesting for our audience and our fans, ATINY.&nbsp;
Hongjoong and Mingi, you&rsquo;re also involved in the writing process for &lsquo;GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4&rsquo;. What was that process like, and is there a lyric or line you&rsquo;d like to highlight? 
MINGI: I think the standout points in the lyrics are the parts our fans would enjoy the most. Personally, I focused a lot on researching the texture of the sound. I wanted to create something that feels fresh and unheard of, yet still familiar at the same time. When people listen to the album directly, I hope they can feel that balance. I think that&rsquo;s what makes it special.&nbsp;
HONGJOONG: I like to imagine that we&rsquo;re still racing. Even after eight years since our debut, we&rsquo;re still in the race, and we still have strong energy for it. I wanted to say that our members still have powerful energy for ATINY and for the audience too.&nbsp;
Since your debut, you&rsquo;ve released many albums. How has your sound changed over the years, and what&rsquo;s your personal favorite era from your discography? 
SEONGHWA: I believe we&rsquo;ve always tried many different changes. Musically and conceptually, we&rsquo;ve been creating a genre that&rsquo;s unique to ATEEZ, and I think our fans feel that too. Out of all those times, my favorite period is right now. I truly believe we are living through our GOLDEN HOUR, and this moment is the one I cherish the most.&nbsp;
Between your debut and now, what kind of voice does ATEEZ represent today? 
HONGJOONG: Every series carries a message for our fans. When we started with the TREASURE series, we wanted to say, &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s find our treasure in your heart, wherever it may be.&rdquo; Each series has a different message. Sometimes it&rsquo;s heavy, sometimes it&rsquo;s light and just for fun. These days, we want to say that ATEEZ will keep going with our fans, ATINY. Whether you&rsquo;ve been with us for one month, one year, or eight years, it doesn&rsquo;t matter. Let&rsquo;s just go together. That&rsquo;s the message of this album. And maybe next season will be different too.

ATEEZ also performed with J Balvin and Kylie Minogue on KPOPPED last year. What was that experience like, and what was it like competing with each other on the show? 
YUNHO: I collaborated with Kylie Minogue. Working with an international artist we&rsquo;ve respected since we were young was such a fascinating experience. There was a bit of friendly competition between the members too, since we didn&rsquo;t know what each person was preparing. When I saw everything on stage, I thought my members were so cool and hardworking. Their performances were amazing.&nbsp;
HONGJOONG: It wasn&rsquo;t really about winning. We just wanted to have fun with different cultures. It was very special because we worked with artists from different backgrounds, like J Balvin and Kylie Minogue, and mixed that with K-pop. That cultural mix made it meaningful for us. J Balvin was really interested in K-pop culture and wanted to try many things with us during KPOPPED. It was an honour to collaborate and blend cultures with such big artists.&nbsp;
How do you feel about K-pop being embraced globally? Has your approach to music and songwriting changed because of this global shift? 
SAN: Since K-pop is receiving so much love around the world, we try to incorporate different languages into our lyrics as much as possible. We&rsquo;ve explored Spanish and reached out to a broader audience in English as well. At the same time, I believe our team&rsquo;s signature is showing our fans, &ldquo;This is the kind of music we make,&rdquo; and we continue to do that through the Korean language. That&rsquo;s still our core.&nbsp;
HONGJOONG, you also explored fashion design with the debut of your Petit Coussin collection last year. What did the members think of it, and do you plan to expand this creative outlet further?&nbsp;
MINGI: I watched the video too, and there were many moments that made us feel proud. The clothes were stunning, and the footage was amazing. I don&rsquo;t know the full picture of what Hongjoong hyung is planning for the future, but I&rsquo;d be honoured to join him on that journey.&nbsp;
HONGJOONG: After the collection, some of the members were really curious about the production process because it was something new. I don&rsquo;t know if I&rsquo;ll continue with individual collections like that, but I do have big dreams. That project was connected to a special event for me, so I&rsquo;m not sure what&rsquo;s next yet. All our members have their own dreams and interests. I&rsquo;m curious to see how each of them develops their individual projects. We inspire each other and create our own things. I&rsquo;m looking forward to what&rsquo;s next, even for myself.

You&rsquo;ve been working nonstop in a fast-paced industry and touring for over eight years. How do you prevent burnout while staying consistent? How do you balance work and play? 
YUNHO: I think the reason we&rsquo;ve been able to promote tirelessly for eight years and maintain this energy is because we truly enjoy performing on stage. We continue with a sense of fun. During tough times, each member has their own hobbies or takes time to properly rest and recharge. Because of that mindset, it feels like these eight years have flown by while we were just enjoying what we do.&nbsp;
Outside of music, what are your current obsessions? Any TV shows, films, games, sports, or hobbies you&rsquo;re into right now? 
SEONGHWA: Brawl Stars! [laughs]&nbsp;
SAN: Recently, we&rsquo;ve been playing a game called Brawl Stars. It&rsquo;s a mobile game, and the four of us play together &mdash; SEONGHWA, YUNHO, YEOSANG, and me. It&rsquo;s really fun.&nbsp;
SEONGHWA: I started playing after watching the members. I used to wonder why they liked it so much, but now I get it. It&rsquo;s actually really fun.&nbsp;
JONGHO: I&rsquo;ve always been a big fan of dramas and movies. Recently, I started watching variety shows again while reminiscing about old memories, and I found them very entertaining. Lately, I&rsquo;ve been keeping up with the variety show&nbsp;Hangout with Yoo.&nbsp;
Finally, do you have a message for Singaporean ATINYs? 
YEOSANG: We held a concert in Singapore yesterday after quite a while, and I want to say how grateful I am that you still showed your love for ATEEZ through your cheers. Please stay healthy and happy until we return. Whether we are far or near, we will always run our hardest for you.
