Tiffany & Co. to Make Custom Jewellery Based on CryptoPunks NFTs

This week Tiffany & Co. announced the debut of NFTiff, which marks its entry into the world of NFTs. The limited-edition NFTiff is designed for holders of CryptoPunks, 10,000 uniquely generated characters that make up the first collection of NFTs created on the Ethereum blockchain.

For 30 ETH (currently about $68,500), the NFTiff offers pass holders the chance to mint a custom Tiffany & Co. pendant based on the design of their CryptoPunks, as well as receive a digital render of the pendant as an NFT. Just 250 pendants will be created through NFTiff, which are available for purchase starting August 5 through Tiffany & Co.’s online NFTiff gateway and limited to three passes per individual.

The pendants will comprise enamel and gemstones that are the closest colour matches to the 87 attributes and 159 colours that appear across the 10,000 CryptoPunks NFTs. Each 18K rose gold or yellow gold pendant will contain at least 30 gemstones or diamonds, and the adjustable chain it’s hung on will be made up of rectangular links, which evoke the shape of pixels.

A partnership with blockchain-based tech company Chain, the NFTiff project began when Tiffany & Co.’s Executive Vice President of Product and Communication, Alexandre Arnault, tweeted a photo of the custom jewellery that Tiffany’s artisans created based his CryptoPunk #3167.

NFTiff is available globally at nft.tiffany.com.
