Rosé of Blackpink is the New Global Face of Saint Laurent

One of the biggest global gigs for a K-pop star yet, Rosé is the new face of the French house's Fall 2020 campaign

Blackpink’s star continues to rise. They’ve recently assisted Lady Gaga on the Chromatica standout track “Sour Candy,” and most recently, kicked off their new album with a music video for their new single “How You Like That,” which has officially made the most-viewed music video the first 24 hours, racking up 86.3 million views, according to Youtube. 

And now, Blackpink has taken center stage with Rosé who was just yesterday announced made the face of Parisian fashion house Yves Saint Laurent.

 In a black and white campaign video shot by photographer David Sims, Rosé is an image of glamour and power, dressed in Saint Laurent’s black one-shoulder scalloped dress, with a draped short sleeve and a silk satin bow.

The new global face of Saint Laurent Fall 2020 also wears a leopard shirt and black trousers in the campaign photos, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, and featured prominently on their website.

This is not her first partnership with YSL. The singer previously made her front row debut at YSL’s spring show last year, and their most recent show in March.

Rosé is also not the only Blackpink member with a major fashion endorsement -- Lisa was most recently revealed as one of the stars of Celine’s latest campaigns, shot by artistic director Hedi Slimane. With both Rosé and Lisa fronting worldwide campaigns, this remains as the biggest global gigs yet for a K-pop entertainer.
