Star Turn: Gucci's Fall/Winter 2019-20 Eyewear Campaign
Gucci's new Fall/Winter eyewear campaign focuses on the power of the individual and their expressions. It stars global ambassador and actress Ni Ni, who appears for her 6th consecutive season as the face of Gucci, alongside South Korean singer, actor, dancer, and boyband EXO member, Kai, who makes his debut.
Creative Director Alessandro Michele's belief in a person's expressions, which can elicit an array of imaginative responses, is showcased in the campaign. Shot by filmmaker and photographer Harmony Korine, the campaign encourages viewers to confidently express themselves.
Ni Ni is featured wearing '70s-esque oversized frames. Her sunglasses have fork-shaped temples and an enamel striped motif inspired by designs from Gucci's archives. Her optical frame, with a design similar to the sunglasses, is further adorned with Gucci's emblematic interlocking G monogram. Here's a closer look at the styles below:
Kai wears the club master style of eyewear. His sunglasses reimagine the Gucci Web Motif in an unusual combination of colours and materials - tortoiseshell, horn, mother-of-pearl, and gold. The optical glasses come in the same Gucci Web stripes, enhanced by the Gucci Signature and vintage-inspired gold tips. Check out the styles below:
