Coach 1941 Fall 2017

Coach's Fall collection brings prairie chic to the city streets of New York

In fashion, unlikely pairings often produce the best outcomes.

Case in point? Coach 1941's Fall 2017 collection, which showed yesterday at New York Fashion Week. With a runway set against the backdrop of a makeshift prairie house, Creative Director Stuart Vevers played with the notion of contrasts; juxtaposing the great American outdoors with early New York hip-hop. On the runway, that translated to pretty/tough ensembles of sherling coats and biker jackets paired with floaty frocks, puffa parkas with dainty floral prints, oversized varsity jackets with patchworks, miniature top-handle and cross-body bags.

The prairie and the city may be poles apart but in the case of the collection, they looked right at home with each other.
