Lenny Kravitz is the New Global Ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre
The maverick rock star and his Reverso watch recently stole the style spotlight at the 95th Academy Awards
Jaeger-LeCoultre welcomes celebrated rock icon Lenny Kravitz as the new Global Ambassador for the brand. The multifaceted musician and style savant perfectly encapsulates the design verve of the Reverso, both flaunting creative daring yet effortless elegance. His chic ensemble during the 2023 Oscars ceremony says it all, paring an all-black Saint Laurent silk jumpsuit, stack of chains on a plunging neckline and a classic Reverso timepiece to glamorous effect.
“Beyond the function of a watch, style is very important — how it looks and the way it fits on your wrist. You have to really connect with it,” says Kravitz. “My Jaeger-LeCoultre pieces feel like they have always been there — they blend with me and their style is absolutely timeless. You can really make these watches your own and when you want to change the mood, change the vibe, they always fit. It’s as if they become one with you.”
The Reverso was originally conceived as a sports watch for polo matches, whose case can be flipped over to protect the dial. Since then, this ingenious design has been expanded to incorporate embellished and exhibition casebacks, and even a secondary dial on the turnabout. Here, Kravitz wears the Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon, which provides an unobstructed view of the spectacular flying tourbillon on both sides.
Kravitz also recently completed the filming of a new campaign for the Maison with fellow ambassador Anya Taylor-Joy, which is slated for release in May.
