TAG Heuer's latest release proves that smartwatches can be sexy, too
Tech meets sensuous luxury in TAG Heuer's new Connected Bright Black Edition.
When you think of smartwatches, 'sexy' isn't usually the first word that comes to mind. TAG Heuer's latest release aims to change that: With a sleek silhouette and a luscious black-and-gold case, the Connected Bright Black Edition offers up the perfect blend of tech and luxe.
The first thing you'll notice is the black ceramic bezel, which comes mirror-polished to offer a gorgeous contrast against the watch's microbeaded case. Golden lacquer markings adorn the bezel for a finish that's both subtle and sophisticated.
The sturdy grade 2 titanium case has been sandblasted and coated with a black diamond-like carbon skin, which is what gives the watch its stunning matte black finish. The same technique is applied to the watch's clasp as well for continuity.
A new watch face theme — aptly named Eclipse — has also been launched, bringing the same black-and-gold look to the digital hands and sub dials. For added customisation, the new edition also comes with three easily interchangeable straps, which come in sporty blue, natural golden brown, and of course, striking black.
As with other watches in TAG Heuer's Connected range, the Bright Black Edition comes with features like a heart rate monitor, compass, and accelerometer. It also comes with preset sport programmes tailored to different types of exercises, making it the perfect day-to-night smartwatch.
