Oscars 2020:All the Looks from the Red Carpet
It’s finally the film industry’s biggest night of the year, and of course, Hollywood’s biggest stars were not here to play, and lit up the 92nd Academy Awards’ red carpet with style.
There was Timothée Chalamet in Prada, Billie Eilish, who only just swept up all the major Grammys, arriving in a baggy Chanel fit, Billy Porter in a showstopping Giles Deacon Couture gown, and Natalie Portman made quite an impression with her Dior cape: embroidered on the lining of her cape were the names of all the female directions who were not nominated for the awards, which includes Lulu Wang, Greta Gerwig, Alma Har'el, Lorene Scafaria, Melina Matsoukas, Marielle Heller, Mari Diop, and Céline Sciamma.
Onto the awards, Laura Dern won her first Oscar in her 25 years as an actress for her role in Netflix’s Marriage Story, Brad Pitt his first Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, and Parasite by Boong Joon Ho swept the awards, winning Best International Feature Film, Best Original Screenplay, Best Directing, and Best Picture, making Oscar history as the first non-English movie to ever win the multiple categories in 92 years.
