It was the same iconic Jungle print that brought Jennifer Lopez and Versace to internet viral status in 2000 and then again in 2019, and now, the singer takes on the print once more in the Italian house's latest ad campaign.
Photographed by renowned duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the Spring/Summer 2020 campaign is a celebration of the digital era. The internet was, after all, what propelled the dress to cult status, leaving many memes in its wake after the runway show last September. It stars a sultry J.Lo against a tech-driven landscape in sculptural dresses and printed separates from the collection, along with Kendall Jenner, another well-known figure made popular by the internet age.
“In terms of my career, the Jungle dress really marked a moment in time. To me, Versace represents empowerment and putting something beautiful out into the world. It’s a dream to collaborate with my friend Donatella again on this gorgeous campaign and to create something new and fresh out of a piece of iconic fashion history,” said Lopez.
