In the depths of winter, Scandinavian brands continue to prove cold weather doesn't mean sacrificing color or fun. Following a Fall 2019 collection premiere at an inspiring Copenhagen Fashion Week, J.Lindeberg is already onto their next step in making outerwear more fun, this time with a ski capsule. The label has collaborated with fellow Swedish brand Chimi Eyewear to create a series of goggles set to brighten up your next wintry getaway.
The collection launches today and will feature simple yet sophisticated goggles in four colors: aqua, kiwi, mango, and berry. Each pair comes with two lenses, so wearers can easily switch between protecting eyes on a sunny day and seeing more easily in clouds or at night. The goggles also feature an anti-fog inner lens, full UV protection, and an elastic strap that can adjust to all helmets.
This isn't the first time J.Lindeberg has collaborated with Chimi, as the brands have released several pairs of sunglasses together since last year. The new release allows for a winter sports continuation of this alliance and helps to continue to build Chimi's growing presence while establishing Jens Werner's modern vision for J.Lindeberg's heritage.
”It feels great to explore a new area where I feel there is a gap that we can fill," says Charlie Lindström, co-founder of Chimi. "Many ski goggles on the market today are either really expensive or really difficult to change the lenses on. We wanted to create functional and clean ski goggles for a reasonable price.”
So it seems if you're frustrated that the wind chill is here to stay, planning an accessibly chic ski ensemble could lift your spirits. Aside from the needed dose of positivity, the collaboration's bright palette is sure to make for some Instagrammable moments from weekend retreats.
