The new-gen cool girls show off an array of bright and bold Viva shoes from the label’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection in an exclusive shoot and video for L'Officiel Singapore.

Walking the tightrope between tradition and innovation is no easy feat, but Salvatore Ferragamo&rsquo;s Paul Andrew pulls it off with grace and aplomb. Take <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/viva-ferragamo">this season&rsquo;s brand-new Viva shoe</a>, for instance. Having set his sights on the lofty challenge of reinterpreting the label&rsquo;s much-loved <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/vara-pleased-to-meet-you-the-40th-anniversary-of-salvatore-ferragamo-s-vara-shoes">Vara</a> (imagined by Fiamma Ferragamo in the &rsquo;70s), Andrew surpassed himself by creating a contemporary classic for the next generation of Ferragamo fanatics &ndash; the ultra-feminine and youthfully elegant <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/viva-ferragamo">Viva</a>.

Boasting a sleek and chic silhouette with a longer vamp, gently tapered neckline, and daringly pointed toe, the Viva is adorned with an amplified bow in leather and cotton fabric instead of grosgrain, and complemented by a tonal metal plaque with the Ferragamo signature in raised relief. Available as a ballet flat or pump in soft nappa leather, glossy patent calfskin, denim, and linen canvas, the design showcases a sculptural, teardrop-shaped heel inspired by Paul Andrew&rsquo;s favourite artist, Richard Serra.

And who better to show off this instant icon than homegrown talents Hashy Yusof-Than and Cleo Kim? Embodying the audacious yet sophisticated spirit of the Viva, singer-songwriter Hashy has risen above a major health scare to become the one to watch on the local music scene, while beauty entrepreneur Cleo Kim is making a name for herself with glitter hair extensions.
