Known for her work in Enigma, A Love So Beautiful, and F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, Thai actress Prim Chanikarn says she is ready to take on different, grown-up roles and for viewers to feel her development as an actress

Over the past four months, we have had the pleasure of spending time with Prim Chanikarn on four occasions, in Europe, Singapore and Thailand, and it was clear from the onset of our recent encounters that the Thai actress is a genuine sweetheart. At the end of our cover shoot in Bangkok, the diminutive star of recent dramas The Dark Dice and Muteluv is warmly chatting and joking with the glam crew, and easing over to us to remind us how often she visits Singapore for work and how fond she is of our city. As she celebrates her 22nd birthday this month, the actress tells L&rsquo;OFFICIEL SINGAPORE about her decade in show business, how she would love to grow with her audience, and what her goals are in 2026.

Hi Prim! Recently, we have seen you in The Dark Dice and Muteluv. What did you enjoy most or find most challenging about these projects? 
For The Dark Dice, the main challenge was the high level of imagination required, as well as understanding the game mechanics and the complex relationships between the characters. It is the project with the largest cast I&rsquo;ve ever worked with. The scenes, involving many characters simultaneously, were particularly challenging yet very exciting. As for Muteluv, it was equally demanding. I had to take separate classes for both traditional Thai dance and modern dance to use in various scenes. It was a great opportunity to try something new and utilise skills beyond just acting.
What can we look forward to from Prim in the near future? 
In the near future, I want fans to see me in more mature roles. I hope everyone can feel my growth as an actress &mdash; as if we are growing up together.

You&rsquo;ve been in the entertainment industry for over 10 years and since you were a child. What do you consider to be the most memorable moments so far? 
The most memorable moments are when I&rsquo;m working on things I&rsquo;m genuinely passionate about. That passion is the key driving force that keeps me going and allows me to enjoy the process. Another highlight is when a project is released and I get to hear direct feedback from the fans and the audience. This gives me the passion to keep improving myself and refine my work for future projects.
You&rsquo;ll be celebrating your birthday this month. How would you most like to spend it? 
For my birthday this year, I want to spend time with my family and those close to me who make me feel at peace. I also want to spend some time looking through the photos in this magazine! I love seeing my own fashion shoots because it allows me to see myself from a different, interesting perspective. It makes me realise that I have that side to my identity as well.

Tell us about your current style must-haves. 
Lately, I&rsquo;ve been loving layering. It adds a fun element to the look. It might be because I recently returned from a cold country, so I got used to wearing multiple layers and I&rsquo;m still enjoying that style. Another essential item for me right now is a hat. It adds dimension to a look and makes the whole outfit feel complete.
We caught up with you when you attended fashion week in October 2025. How was that experience? 
It was an incredible and truly memorable experience. I gave my all to every step &mdash; from the preparation before the trip to the event itself and the aftermath. It&rsquo;s an experience I believe I&rsquo;ll remember for the rest of my life because I met so many new people and visited a place I&rsquo;ve always dreamed of. It reignited my passion and taught me to appreciate my surroundings and the positive energy from the people there. It was very inspiring.

We also spent some time with you when you dropped by Singapore in late October for a few events. What are some of your favourite things to do while in Singapore? 
Singapore is a very special country to me. Every time I visit, I receive such a warm welcome from the Singaporean fans, which makes me happy every time I return. My favorite activity is sightseeing because I find the city so beautiful. Most recently, I tried chilli crab based on fan recommendations &mdash; it was delicious! It was such a relaxing meal after work, and I definitely want to go back and have it again. Is there anything you would like to do in 2026 or any way in which you would like to live differently from before? 
In 2026, I want to focus on consistently releasing new work for my fans to follow. I aim to develop my acting skills and take on roles that show a more mature or different side of me. Regarding my personal life, if I have the chance, I want to travel more. I feel that travelling helps me grow, both in how I live and how I think. Learning to manage things on my own is both a challenge and a way of "healing" myself.

Finally, what are your aspirations for the future? 
In the future, I want to produce high-quality work that reflects my dedication, while learning new things in areas I&rsquo;ve never explored before. Personally, I want to prioritise travelling more. It&rsquo;s an opportunity to discover myself &mdash; to learn what I truly like or dislike by experiencing new environments.
