The first major red carpet of the new year and the new decade rolled out in high style at the 77th Golden Globe Awards, as the stars came out to celebrate the best of film and television. Hosted by Ricky Gervais, the big winners of the night included Renée Zellweger for Judy, Brad Pitt for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Fleabag, and Laura Dern for Marriage Story, among others. And the looks on the red carpet proved to be just as much of a triumph, with many of the A-listers bringing their fashion A-game.

Awkwafina made history as the first actress of Asian descent to win a Globe, and her ruffled Dior Haute Couture gown is sure to go down in the books too. Saoirse Ronan stunned in a slinky and sparkly Celine creation, while Gwyneth Paltrow went down the daring route in a sheer tulle gown by Fendi. Zoë Kravitz was a polka dot princess in Saint Laurent, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw shone bright in a lemon-coloured Gucci dress with all-over sequins. There's no forgetting Billy Porter, who continued his winning streak on the red carpet with an all-white suit by Alex Vinash, complete with a huge feathered train. Or Beyoncé, who skipped the red carpet but still managed to steal the show in a custom Schiaparelli slip dress with sculptural gold mesh sleeves.
