Meet The 7 Singaporean-Based Contestants Of The Apprentice: One Championship
If you’re thirsty for some entertainment, well, you can whet your appetite on this: The Apprentice, the popular reality TV series, is set to air in Asia tonight, at 8.45pm SGT on AXN, and will feature 7 Singapore-based contestants including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu martial artist and writer Alvin Ang, and gymnastics program director Joy Koh.
This time around, it will also come with a Singapore twist, and will feature popular landmarks such as Jewel Changi Airport and the Singapore Zoo. The show was filmed during the pandemic by a local production house Refinery Media.
The Apprentice: One Championship Edition will see 16 candidates from around the world competing for a lucrative job offer worth US$250,000 (S$330,700) - the winner will get to work for a year at One Championship, Asia's largest global sports media property, and report directly to its chairman and chief executive, Mr Chatri Sityodtong.
The 13-episode-series will also see 1 of Asia’s top CEO per episode, featured as a guest judge alongside Sityodtong, including Grab’s Anthony Tan and Zilingo’s Ankiti Bose.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a One Championship production without some martial arts heavyweights. Expect big names such as One heavyweight world champion Brandon Vera, One women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee, One flyweight world Grand Prix champion Demetrious Johnson and former One welterweight world champion Ben Askren.
