Meet The 7 Singaporean-Based Contestants Of The Apprentice: One Championship

The Apprentice: One Championship Edition will see 16 candidates from around the world competing for a lucrative job offer worth US$250,000 (S$330,700) - the winner will get to work for a year at One Championship.

If you’re thirsty for some entertainment, well, you can whet your appetite on this: The Apprentice, the popular reality TV series, is set to air in Asia tonight, at 8.45pm SGT on AXN, and will feature 7 Singapore-based contestants including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu martial artist and writer Alvin Ang, and gymnastics program director Joy Koh. 

This time around, it will also come with a Singapore twist, and will feature popular landmarks such as Jewel Changi Airport and the Singapore Zoo. The show was filmed during the pandemic by a local production house Refinery Media. 

The Apprentice: One Championship Edition will see 16 candidates from around the world competing for a lucrative job offer worth US$250,000 (S$330,700) - the winner will get to work for a year at One Championship, Asia's largest global sports media property, and report directly to its chairman and chief executive, Mr Chatri Sityodtong.

The 13-episode-series will also see 1 of Asia’s top CEO per episode, featured as a guest judge alongside Sityodtong, including Grab’s Anthony Tan and Zilingo’s Ankiti Bose. 

Of course, it wouldn’t be a One Championship production without some martial arts heavyweights. Expect big names such as One heavyweight world champion Brandon Vera, One women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee, One flyweight world Grand Prix champion Demetrious Johnson and former One welterweight world champion Ben Askren.

Joy Koh is a Singaporean gymnastics program director and former school gymnast, who has established gymnastic training programs at international schools, opened her own gym, and was a judge at competitions on a global stage
Alvin Ang is a Martial Arts entrepreneur who founded the Singapore BJJ Open, a top-tier competition for all grappling lovers in the Southeast Asian country
Nazee Sajedi is a licensed private pilot and has spent her entire career in the aviation industry. She has sold private jets, developed an on-demand helicopter booking platform, and now works in Air Mobility and Air Taxi operations. The talented American is also currently an advisor to NASA.
Monica Millington comes from a family of successful real estate professionals. The American forged her own path with a portfolio of freelance graphic design and photography before working as an event planner in Texas, before moving to Singapore with her husband.
Jessica Ramella was born in Venezuela, and after settling down in Singapore, she became the Head Of Sales & Partnerships for Business Management Solutions.
Roman Wilson comes from a family of athletes and played collegiate football at Princeton University and later at the professional level for the Osaka-based Japanese team the Sidewinders. Upon graduation he worked for a hedge fund in Tokyo, and in the agricultural sector in the Philippines. He’s now a corporate strategist for a food and beverage company in Singapore.
Irina Chadsey is a Singapore-based Russian grew up in a low-income household, but she hopes to seize this opportunity and continue to build a better life for her family. She fell in in love with bodybuilding since arriving in Singapore and dedicates herself to training five to six times a week.
