Having had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the visual short that accompanies Madonna’s new album, out on July 3, was produced with Dolce &amp; Gabbana and features Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss, Sabrina Carpenter and daughter Lourdes Leon.

Not just a music video, not a short film in the conventional sense. "Confessions II – The Film" is something more difficult to categorise, and perhaps that's precisely the point. Having had its world premiere on June 5 at the Beacon Theatre in New York as part of the Tribeca Film Festival , Madonna 's visual project, directed by David Toro and Solomon Chase (aka TORSO) and produced by DIVISION in collaboration with Dolce &amp; Gabbana, is available on YouTube.

With over ten minutes built around the first six tracks from the upcoming album, Confessions II, out July 3rd is the ideal sequel to 2005's Confessions on a Dance Floor. The result is a dreamlike polyptych that alternates highly charged images with moments of unexpected intimacy, with a cast of sixteen exceptional names: pop star Sabrina Carpenter, with whom she recently performed the song "Bring Your Love" at Coachella, Colombian singer-songwriter Feid, actress Debi Mazar (a longtime friend of Madonna), supermodel Kate Moss, actresses Julia Garner and Odessa A'zion, British actor Richard E. Grant, DJ and producer Honey Dijon, actor Benedict Cumberbatch, Venezuelan producer and experimental musician Arca, and Lourdes Leon, Madonna's daughter, who closes the film with the final line.

At the heart of the project is the collaboration with Dolce &amp; Gabbana, a partnership rooted in the early 1990s that here translates into meticulous attention to detail for Madonna and the entire cast's wardrobe. Drawing on both the brand's historic archives and more recent collections, the looks construct a coherent visual narrative: Madonna wears a stretch satin and PVC dress inspired by the Spring/Summer 1998 collection, a direct reference to the iconography of Ray of Light; a black satin slip dress embellished with lace and a lace-up corset; and, from the Fall/Winter 1991-1992 archive, a rhinestone-encrusted top paired with shapewear shorts in jacquard and satin.

"Cinema has inspired a good part of my life," Madonna said during the post-screening Q&amp;A, moderated by Anderson Cooper. She explained that the film is about connection, breaking out of isolation and immersing oneself in the chaos of the world. A vision that Dolce &amp; Gabbana has embraced, crafting a mise en scène in which the artist's iconography and the brand's DNA merge into a shared language of identity and self-expression.
