Fans, friends, family and fellow actors gathered on Saturday, 26 January, to mourn the loss of Aloysius Pang at his wake held in MacPherson Lane. Last Saturday, 19 January, the 28-year-old suffered injuries from an accident during a Singapore Armed Forces training exercise in New Zealand where he was crushed between the gun barrel of a howitzer and its cabin. He eventually succumbed to his injuries and died on Wednesday night, 23 January.

During his wake, celebrities including Fann Wong, Joanne Peh, Zoe Tay and Pang's girlfriend, Jayley Woo, paid their respects. Actress Priscelia Chan described Pang as “an angel on earth”, while others expressed their heartfelt remorse.

Following the wake, Pang's funeral will be held on the afternoon of 27 January, after which his body will be taken to Mandai Crematorium. Pang started out as a child actor in 1999 with Mediacorp and had since gained a following after appearing in numerous dramas. Over the years, he has managed to establish himself as an actor worth watching, with his potential being commended by his colleagues during the wake. Back in 2015, Pang had starred in a L'Officiel Singapore feature that spotlighted Singapore's top television actors.
