With video calls becoming an essential part of our daily lives,&nbsp;many of us are working to adapt to being comfortable&nbsp;while looking good&nbsp;in front of a camera.

If you&#39;re looking for some foolproof tips on how to look good on camera, who better than Tom Ford himself to provide us with some tips on looking good before that next Zoom meeting?&nbsp;The seasoned fashion designer and beauty mogul has helped shape the image of many celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, on the red carpet, so trust him to know a thing or two about looking good for the camera.&nbsp;

As it turns out, it&rsquo;s not just all about the type of products you put on your face, but also how you position your screen, the use of other lighting such as a lamp, and so on.

&ldquo;In order to highlight your individual beauty, the architecture of your face should be emphasized. We all instinctively respond to light and symmetry&mdash;these can be used to enhance your natural features and bring out your unique beauty,&rdquo; he says.

Here are the four easy steps, as told by Tom Ford,&nbsp;that you can easily achieve from home:

Step 1

Put your laptop up on a stack of books so the camera is slightly higher than your head. Say, about the top of your head. And then point it down into your eyes.

Step 2

Then take a tall lamp and set it next to the computer on the side of your face you feel is best. The lamp should be in line with and slightly behind the computer so the light falls nicely on your face.

Step 3

Then put a piece of white paper or a white tablecloth on the table you are sitting at but make sure it can&rsquo;t be seen in the frame. It will give you a bit of fill and bounce.

Step 4

Lots of powder, et voil&agrave;!
