Are HEURE’s award-winning skincare products worth the hype?
Winning three categories in our L’Officiel Singapore Beauty Awards 2021, the judges have deemed HEURE’s skincare as holy grails to die for. In this article, this beauty writer reviews the winning products to see if they are truly as good as they say.
The future is here – or HEURE, in this case. Known as a trailblazer within the skincare community for its science-led skincare, as well as its encapsulation technology and impressive transdermal delivery system, this is no ordinary beauty brand. Winning in three categories for our Beauty Awards 2021 in November this year (that’s no easy feat), the judges were thoroughly impressed with the effectiveness of their claims. And I should know – I was one of them.
It’s not often you come across a skincare brand that actually does the job. After working in the beauty industry for close to two years now, I’ve seen many brands make bold claims with little to no results. I’ve also taken the brunt of trying out too many products on my sensitive skin with the overwhelming number of skincare launches over the years. A problem I didn’t experience when dealing with HEURE.
And as someone who has also been fooled by said bold claims during my journey with skincare over the years, I valued HEURE’s claims about what their products could and could not do for me. One example being their anti-ageing properties. As I have literally just turned 25, the brand’s anti-ageing functions – although, good – do not appeal as much to me. What does however interest me are the versatile functions of each product. Yes, HEURE’s products are indeed anti-ageing products at the end of the day, but they’re also so much more than that.
What I do appreciate about HEURE is their SPHR™ advanced encapsulation technology and transdermal delivery system. One of the biggest worries I (and many others) have about skincare is wasting products or not having them be as effective in tackling skincare concerns. With HEURE, I can be rest assured that this is not the case as their products not only penetrate the skin barrier, but are also formulated in such an intelligent way that active ingredients are delivered to areas where your skin needs them most.
The first thing I noticed when trying HEURE’s Ageless Serum was how lightweight it felt on my skin. And as someone who absolutely detests leaving the house with sticky skincare on, this was an instant relief. Besides its encapsulation technology, the serum is packed with three SPHR™-enhanced peptides – Acetyl Hexapeptide, Pentapeptide and Palmitoyl Tripeptide – and a combination of the Vitamins C and E complex that engage with the collagen and elastin cells within your dermis layer for up to 24 hours. Though I could not see it on mine due to my age, the serum is said to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. What I did feel was smoother and tighter skin after a couple of uses.
After applying the Ageless Serum, I followed my routine by dabbing on HEURE's Ageless Eye Serum in hopes of eliminating some of the dark eye circles and puffy eye bags I have the misfortune of having due to the lack of sleep, sinus, and hours spent in front of the laptop for my job. And just like the Ageless Serum, this product felt lightweight and hydrating after use – perfect to use in the day as compared to night. Containing a blend of Chrysin, Cassava Extract, Palmitoyl Peptides, and Vitamins C, E, B3, and B5, the serum brightens, smoothens, and protects your eyes from UV-induced stress. Although I cannot say it did much for me due to the severity of my undereye bags and dark eye circles, my eyes did look more vibrant as compared to its usual vampire-esque dullness.
Lastly, I tried the HEURE Ageless Facial Treatment Mask. And as an avid fan of sheet masks, this was my favourite product of the winning trio. This thick bio-cellulose sheet mask comes fully infused with 25ml of high concentration serum that provides the skin with anti-ageing, anti-oxidative and soothing properties. If you’re someone who prefers partaking in easy forms of self-care, this mask will give you a plumper and smoother complexion in no time at all. The best part?
