Giving new meaning to the term “tiger parents”, this Fall/Winter 2020 Onitsuka Tiger drops the first-ever kids collection in its over seven-decade history, which means you can now tog out your tots in the same edgy, elevated sportswear we all know and love.

Summed up in the tagline “for uncommonly cool kids”, the label’s gender-neutral junior line is a riot of exuberant colours and retro-urban styles, nodding to this season’s grown-up get-ups. It being Onitsuka Tiger, trainers play a key role in the collection, with several classic kicks shrunk down to bite-size for budding sneakerheads, such as the iconic MEXICO 66 slip-ons, the ’70s redux SERRANO, the FABRE court shoes, and the ADMIX RUNNER with its “cut-and-paste” colourblocked upper and chunky, futuristic sole. The SERRANO TS and ADMIX RUNNER TS models are even decorated with graphics to help young’uns learn about and distinguish between right and left.

Meanwhile, the range of comfortable, child-friendly clothes includes soft cotton tees printed with blown-up house logos and tiger motifs, multi-pocket bomber jackets in technical fabric, damaged stretch denim jeans, and a racing striped track top that can be coordinated with either knee-length shorts, joggers or an elastic-waist skirt — in neutral tones as well as bright turquoise, hot pink, acid yellow and sky blue. Fashionable fun for the whole family? What’s not to love?
