Chivas and Balmain Re-Envision Scotch with an Exclusive Collection
The collaboration delivers age-old Scotch whisky in the form of two stylish bottle designs — accessorised by Balmain’s signature oversized golden chain.
This October, Chivas and Balmain have partnered up to bring aficionados an exclusive Balmain x Chivas XV collection that intertwines Parisian savoir-faire with Chivas’ iconic 15 year old blended Scotch whisky to put a stylish twist on drinking culture.
The collaboration is embodied by two limited edition bottles designed under Balmain’s tasteful eye — a design inspired by the houses’ shared vision and spirit for the partnership. “Just like Balmain, Chivas has always adhered to the highest standards with neither house being afraid to push boundaries and break with outdated conventions,” says Balmain Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing. Sure enough, the partnership disrupts the conventional archetypes behind the appreciation of scotch.
For an added touch of Balmain to the collection, the bottles will also be adorned with the House’s signature motif — its oversized golden chain. “Whenever I’ve included that eye-catching adornment in my collections, it has served as a bold symbol of the defiant spirit of our rebellious and inclusive Balmain Army – a bold and audacious attitude that both Chivas and Balmain celebrate,” says Rousteing.
The first bottle — the most limited edition one of the two — comes in a shade of gold, is individually numbered, and is accessorised by metallic armour and chains reminiscent of Balmain’s own runway pieces. The second bottle takes the form of Balmain’s more recognisable and modern silhouette through a symmetrical design of belts and chains.
To celebrate the launch, fans are welcome to join the Balmain Army for a series of activations exclusive to them and will be gifted with a Balmain x Chivas XV bottle bag designed by Balmain’s accessories team. Pop-up bars will also be available worldwide for patrons to try the scotch for themselves.
The Balmain x Chivas XV collection retails at $170 and is available for orders on Chivas.com.
