Introducing Tiffany and Co's Newest Global Ambassadors
Luxury jewellery brand Tiffany and Co. have just announced three new global ambassadors for their T1 collection. The campaign, titled 'Give Me the T' features Anya Taylor-Joy, Eileen Gu and Tracee Ellis Ross.
Ross, an American actress, singer, television host, producer and director best known for her lead roles in the television series Girlfriends and Black-ish. On her new partnership with Tiffany, she said: “Growing up, I would often wander through the flagship store on Fifth Avenue, imagining myself as a grown woman wearing the bold elegance of Tiffany's signature diamonds. All these years later, to be the face of this iconic brand and to represent the T1 collection is a dream come true, shooting the campaign was a welcome moment of inspiration and glamour after the challenging year that we’ve all experienced.”
It's a view that actress Taylor-Joy echoed. “I love jewellery that has symbolism in it,” said Taylor-Joy, a Golden Globe winner who is best known for the role of chess champion Beth in the Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit. “I love it to mean something to me. It doesn't necessarily have to mean anything to anybody else, but I like to look down at my fingers and have a story.”
The T1 collection also stands for empowerment and strength — something that resonates with professional athlete Gu. “Wearing a beautiful piece of jewellery, especially one that is meaningful or motivational in a personal sense, is an inexorable feeling—it’s empowering, inspiring and exciting to express myself, to feel seen and heard without having to utter a single word,” said Gu, a 17-year-old freestyle skier who has won two gold medals skiing for China. “I’m obsessed with the balance between elegant simplicity and striking boldness that the new T1 collection offers.”
In the campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti, the new ambassadors layered bracelets, earrings and pendants over each other including a significant T1 choker – carrying 250 round brilliant and baguette diamonds totalling over 13 carats.
Taylor-Joy and Gu will also star in a new jewellery collection for Tiffany and Co. later this year. We, for one, can't wait to see what the collection will look like.
