Mention the word space to someone in the fashion and the futuristic theme comes to mind. Yet, the whole beauty of fashion is such that it ignites our imagination, opens up a whole new conversation and takes us back to where it all began.

Chanel’s Fall Winter 2017 show and its stellar larger-than-life construction of a spacecraft reminds us of the world’s first mission into space back in the 1960s and now, a Moncler film treated to look like a vintage B-grade movie reaffirms our beliefs that referencing the basics for a futuristic-themed wardrobe is the way to go

For us, that means we’ll tone down on the actual progressive elements and look back at the simple shapes, motifs and silhouettes at ground level. Like going for elephant-shaped handbag in silver – an easy interpretation of an extraterrestrial animal, or an alternative eyewear selection that serves to protect rather than to accessorise.
