Present Futurism: Heejung Park Is Assuredly Modern In This Season’s Wardrobe
In a time where we've been forced to sit with the present, we're craving escapism in a way that only an idealistic future can provide. It is little wonder, then, that this season, designers have taken nods from retro-futurism -- defined as the past's vision of the future and seen primarily through the eyes of designers from the 1950s-70s, for clues into a wardrobe for our times.
Witness this through the phosphorescent fabrics from Louis Vuitton, courtesy of Nicolas Ghesquière, protective, coccoon coats via Prada, or powerful elegant urbanwear, in the shape of Matthew Williams' Givenchy. Check ahead to witness Spring/Summer 2021's pickings, as modelled by South Korean model Heejung Park, for a wardrobe that is strong, self-assured, and undoubtedly modern.
