On May 9, LOEWE unveiled an exclusive jewellery collection in collaboration with Lynda Benglis, the renowned postwar American sculptor and one of today's most influential pioneering artists.

Premiering at the Spring/Summer 2024 women's fashion runway in Paris, the collection features 20 designs that are akin to wearable sculptures. Benglis has drawn upon motifs and techniques from her artistic repertoire, incorporating knotted, draped, corrugated, and extruded forms. Initially sketched in her Santa Fe studio using materials like foil, mesh, clay, wire, and polyurethane, these designs are then transformed into rings, sleeve pins, brooches, earrings, pendants, and flower pieces. Crafted in 18 carat gold, sterling silver, aluminum, enamel, and crystal, each piece showcases a meticulous blend of art and craftsmanship.

Lynda Benglis, born in 1941 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, has spent six decades redefining art objects through continuous innovation in style and materials. By engaging with diverse substances such as polyurethane, latex, paper, plaster, brass, and water, she challenges conventional notions of sculpture. Her jewellery, designed to be worn on the body in motion, embodies her ambition to create dynamic, ever-changing sculptures that resonate with the fluidity of the world around us.
