For Gucci's Pre-Fall 2019 campaign, Alessandro Michele brought the Italian brand to the ruined temples of the Selinunte Archaeological Park in Sicily. In the images, archetypal characters from Venice Beach such as hardcore punks, skaters, bodybuilders and surfers are photographed as a counterpoint to the ancient Greek city from 7th century BC. The pieces in the new collection include velvet blazers, ornamented skirts and tops, a variety of 1970s monogrammed pants and your other typical Gucci offerings.
The campaign also keeps in line with the collection's lookbook, which featured models posing mid-snack at Italian cultural sites like Pompeii and Herculaneum. Discover the new campaign and an exclusive film shot by Glen Luchford below:
