The i-dle member and solo artiste talks to L&rsquo;OFFICIEL about the opening nights of the group&rsquo;s 2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation], their upcoming stop in Singapore, and what NEVERLAND can expect from MIYEON this year

Over the four days that we were in Seoul to photograph MIYEON, the temperature dipped from 17 to 0&deg;C. But nevermind the frigid air and occasional shivers in the studio on our shoot day, she radiates warmth and friendliness as soon as she appears on set, positively taking the chill off. Right before our cover shoot, MIYEON and her fellow i-dle members kicked off their 2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] with two opening shows in Seoul &mdash; even so, the seasoned star shows no sign of fatigue on set, speaking spiritedly with the shoot crew and posing energetically in the Prada Spring/Summer 2026 wardrobe that we prepared. The vocalist shared with L&rsquo;OFFICIEL SINGAPORE how she relished the opening nights, and what NEVERLAND can expect when the group arrives in Singapore this June.

Hi MIYEON! Last year, i-dle released your 8th Mini Album [We Are], as well as your JAPAN 1st EP「i-dle] . [We Are] has sold over a million copies in South Korea. How do you feel about the group&rsquo;s continued success?&nbsp;
I feel nothing but gratitude. The more love we receive, the more I want to give back, and I feel confident that we can do that. That&rsquo;s why I&rsquo;m excited and looking forward to what lies ahead. Just as we always have, we&rsquo;ll continue to reflect, share the stories we want to tell, and grow through each step. Rather than feeling pressure, I see it as a sense of responsibility &mdash; and I&rsquo;m preparing for what&rsquo;s next with confidence and positive energy.
Earlier this year, the Digital Single &lsquo;Mono (Feat. skaiwater)&rsquo; was released as i-dle&rsquo;s first project of 2026, in collaboration with skaiwater. What else can fans look forward to from i-dle this year? 
We have many activities planned, including a world tour. More than anything, I hope we can show a lot of who we are as performers on stage, and I believe we will.
You just kicked off the 2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] with two opening shows in Seoul before our shoot. How was the preparation process for the shows, and which was your favourite part of the opening shows in Seoul? 
Since it&rsquo;s been a while since our last tour, we put a lot of thought into preparing &mdash; carefully planning the setlist and rehearsing together many times. During the preparation process, there were many worries and concerns, but the moment we met NEVERLAND on stage, everything disappeared. It felt almost magical &mdash; I was able to focus purely on the moment and enjoy it. Perhaps because I feel more at ease this time compared to before, I remember each moment more vividly. I was truly happy.

If you had to compare and point out a difference between 2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] and the previous tours, what would that be? 
I think we&rsquo;re meeting NEVERLAND as more mature artistes now. We&rsquo;ve learnt how to enjoy each moment more and how to connect more deeply with our audience. We&rsquo;re also performing new songs. I feel that this period marks the beginning of a new chapter for i-dle, and you can sense that determination and passion in this tour.
In 2022, you made your solo debut with your 1st Mini Album [MY]. And last year, Digital Single &lsquo;Sky Walking&rsquo;, which was your first self-composed song, was released, followed by your 2nd Mini Album [MY, Lover]. How have you been enjoying your solo work and your development as an artiste and lyricist? 
Thanks to NEVERLAND&rsquo;s support, I&rsquo;ve been able to challenge myself and try new things while feeling less nervous and worried. Moving forward, I think I&rsquo;ll be able to show more projects that I&rsquo;ve participated in.&nbsp;
Over the recent years, you&rsquo;ve taken on a variety of roles &mdash; from serving as a judge on Veiled Cup to MC work and collaborating on OSTs. What do these wide-ranging experiences mean to you, and is there anything else you would like to try? 
The things I gain from new challenges and experiences are truly countless. New emotions, inspiration, realisations &mdash; I believe these learnings naturally find their way into my performances and even into my daily life. That&rsquo;s how I believe I grow. Based on these experiences, I would love to challenge myself in acting one day.

You&rsquo;ll soon be travelling to Taipei, Bangkok, Australia and then Singapore in June. The fans of Singapore didn&rsquo;t get to see i-dle here in 2024, so is there anything you are looking forward to in Singapore or anything you&rsquo;d like to say to the fans here? 
I&rsquo;ve been waiting for this so much. Since we didn't have the chance to meet last year, it makes it feel even more precious to me. On the day of the show, I&rsquo;ll give my very best on stage and create beautiful memories together. Please wait for us just a little longer.
i-dle will be celebrating your 8th anniversary before stopping in Singapore for your concert. How would you like to celebrate the 8th anniversary with your fellow members? 
Rather than doing something extravagant, I&rsquo;d love to simply talk and enjoy a delicious meal together. I also really want to spend time with NEVERLAND. It wouldn&rsquo;t be an exaggeration to say that this 8th anniversary is possible because of NEVERLAND.
Touring is a particularly hectic time. Do you have a specific rest or beauty routine when you are on tour? 
After a long schedule, I always make sure to use a facial mask to take care of my tired skin. I also try to consistently take supplements. Stretching and using a gua sha tool are essential for me as well.

Besides touring with i-dle, is there anything that MIYEON&rsquo;s fans can expect from you in 2026? 
I&rsquo;m working hard to prepare for various activities. I also think there will be more opportunities to meet NEVERLAND around the world.
Any final words you&rsquo;d like to share with NEVERLAND? 
My beloved NEVERLAND, I&rsquo;ll stand before you with an even more wonderful side of myself this year. Thank you always for your love and support. I&rsquo;ll make sure to bring you even more happiness. I love you.
