Kate Bush's song 'Running Up That Hill' has gone viral after being used in the centrally important series.

"And if I only could, I'd make a deal with God...", If you didn't catch the reference, you may not have watched the new season of 'Stranger Things'. Because of the series, Kate Bush's hit song 'Running Up That Hill' has returned to dominate the music charts around the world, making a fortune from its resurgence.&nbsp;
The 1985 song returned to the top of Billboard charts, as well as Spotify and iTunes. According to CBS, the Englishwoman earned about $2.3 million between May 27 and June 23 from the song's broadcasts alone. 
The song was featured in the show after the release of volume 2, climbing the music charts with every new stream. Some even believe that 'Running Up That Hill' will be played again in the last season of the series, which still does not have a premiere date.

Kate Bush's music became central to the character Max, played by Sadie Sink. In a statement, the singer said she was honoured to have had the song chosen for one of the most important moments of the series.
"By presenting 'Running Up That Hill' in such a positive light - as a talisman for Max (one of the main female characters) - the song was brought into the emotional arena of her story. Fear, conflict and the power of love are all around her and their friends. I salute the Duffer Brothers for their courage [...]. I want to thank them so much for bringing music into the lives of so many people. I am amazed at the scale of affection and support the music is receiving and everything is happening very fast, as if being driven by some kind of elemental force", wrote the singer on her personal blog.
At the moment, the song is number six on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
