Angelina Jolie Finally Reunites With Her Eldest Son

Angelina Jolie has finally reunited with her eldest son! The actress' son, Maddox, came home early after his studies were interrupted at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, due to the ongoing coronavirus.

The 18-year-old student is using his free time to focus on studying the languages Korean and Russian, while staying at home with his mother and five younger siblings: Pax, 16; Zahara, 15; Shiloh, 13; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

Jolie also aims to help other children in need, and has donated US $ 1 million to No Kid Hungry, an organization that distributes meals to children who depend on school meals.

"As of this week, more than a billion children are out of school worldwide because of closures linked to the coronavirus," Jolie said in a statement. “Many children depend on the care and nutrition they receive during school hours, including nearly 22 million children in the United States who are dependent on support. At Kid Hungry, you are making determined efforts to reach as many children as possible. "

According to a press release, the institution has already distributed US $ 2 million (about R $ 10 million) to 78 organizations in 30 states across the country and has issued new emergency grants for school districts, food banks, and community organizations that help children.

Jolie also made a donation to the UN Refugee Agency and sent support to schools she finances in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Kenya and Namibia to help ensure that they can continue teaching and learning during the pandemic.

Currently, the actress finances 10 schools in Cambodia through the Maddox Jolie Pitt Foundation, created on behalf of the eldest son she adopted in the Asian country. It also funds the Angelina Jolie school for girls in Kenya and two other schools for girls in Afghanistan.

On a global scale, Jolie is working with UNESCO to help children access distance learning during the school closing period.
