The first wave of Louis Vuitton’s LV² collection opened to much fanfare, and marked the pioneering partnership between men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh and streetwear legend Nigo.
And now, the second wave of LV² has just hit Singapore shores, with a whole slew of product offerings that come with the same London Mod-era dandy-inspired pieces with a Tokyo twist.
As with the first wave, central to the collection is an intriguing patchwork motif, created by “melting” the LV Monogram over Damier checks with a drip effect reminiscent of Nigo’s previous work for Ice Cream, in ready-to-wear apparel, bags, accessories and footwear.
This time, the LV2 patchwork returns on new bag shapes: the classic Men’s Christopher Backpack and Mini Soft Trunk, the sporty Amazone Sling Bag - a twin to the Amazone Messenger from the first wave, and the Mini Tote, a new shape inspired by London’s Mods and Tokyo streetwear.
Garment styles returning also include the Squared LV Sweatshirt, Embroidered LV Squared Short Sleeved Shirt.
