<p>The latest additions to Cartier's high jewellery collection are all about visual illusions &mdash; and luscious, tactile sensuality.</p>

<p>Cartier has just unveiled the third chapter of its high jewellery collection, Sixieme Sens. This year, the collection plays on the artistic technique of trompe-l&rsquo;&oelig;il &mdash; which literally means 'trick of the eye' &mdash; to create a delightful series of pieces that are as sensual as they are visually arresting.</p>

<p>Take the stunning Synesth&eacute;sie necklace, for example. A luscious cascade of emerald and turquoise balls &nbsp;are juxtaposed with brilliant-cut or square diamonds in a way that brings the eye down to the central 35.47 ct Colombian emerald.</p>

<div data-pm-slice="1 1 []" data-en-clipboard="true">Tactility was also a key point in the collection: In the collarbone-grazing B&eacute;r&eacute;nice necklace, diamonds and black lacquer paving create an effect akin to ocean waves, all blurring toward a central 16.43 ct Colombian cabochon-cut emerald.</div>
