Earlier this month, Women In Film, Los Angeles (WIF) celebrated outstanding women in the&nbsp;entertainment industry with the 2017 Crystal + Lucy Awards,&nbsp;presented by sponsors Max Mara and&nbsp;BMW. Hosted by&nbsp;actress and comedian Jessica Williams, the gala event took place at the&nbsp;Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California with key guests&nbsp;in attendance, including&nbsp;WIF LA&nbsp;President Cathy Schulman, WIF LA Executive Director Kirsten Schaffer, Max Mara Ambassador and Ownership&nbsp;Nicola Maramotti,&nbsp;Vanity Fair Executive&nbsp;West Coast Editor&nbsp;Krista Smith, Lupita Nyong&rsquo;o, Robert Redford, Aisha Tyler,&nbsp;and countless other celebrities.&nbsp;

The highlight of the evening was the 2017 Women In&nbsp;Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award, which was presented to actress Zoey Deutch. In its 15th year as presenting sponsor,&nbsp;Max Mara traditionally honours&nbsp;up-and-coming actresses who have made outstanding contributions to the&nbsp;community at large. Deutch joins the esteemed company of past year award-winners, which include Emily Blunt, Kate Mara, Katie Holmes, Zoe Saldana, and Natalie Dormer.

The&nbsp;2017 Crystal + Lucy Awards also saw the crowning of other award-winners. Actress and producer Elizabeth Banks won&nbsp;The Crystal Award for Excellence in Film for her role as a passionate advocate for women&rsquo;s equality and opportunity. In addition, Black-ish star&nbsp;Tracee Ellis Ross was awarded&nbsp;The Lucy Award for Excellence in Television, while Lupita Nyong&rsquo;o presented the BMW Dorothy Arzner Directors Award to her Queen of Katwe&nbsp;director, Mira Nair.
