Weird & Wonderful: L’Officiel Singapore’s April Issue is Out Now
We take inspiration from the recent Fall/Winter 2022 shows and all that’s taking place in the world today to manifest qualities of curiosity and fascination in the April edition of L'Officiel Singapore.
Wonder is defined by Oxford Languages as “a feeling of amazement and admiration, caused by something beautiful, remarkable or unfamiliar” and a “desire to know something; feel curious”. In this issue, we take inspiration from the recent Fall/Winter 2022 shows and all that’s taking place in the world today to manifest qualities of curiosity and fascination in our spreads, features, and more.
As a treat to closing the first quarter of the year, expect to experience dynamic spreads such as our take on Louis Vuitton's Pre-Fall 2022 and more in this month’s cover story, Sous le Ciel de Paris with model Yumi Lambert, Louis Vuitton’s Spring Escape Collection, and Roger Vivier’s iconic buckle.
The April issue also comes equipped with dynamic features with Deadpool 2's Zazie Beetz, designer Alyssa Carson, and creative Ali Hicks as they open up about their experiences in entertainment, STEM, and makeup artistry respectively.
On a more serious note, we examine where the line is between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation in My Culture is Not a Costume and look at how a seemingly well-meaning social media trend, like #ThatGirl, can reveal deeper issues that persist in society.
What more awaits you? The rebellious appeal of the 1960s in Dior's Spring/Summer 2022 collection, bright accessories with a child-like innocence, unexpectedly relaxed and minimal Haute Joaillerie and fine jewellery, and all the classic red lipsticks you need to make a statement this April.
