The Lacoste x Minecraft Collaboration Stitches a Virtual-Sartorial Reality

Dressed in a vintage-feel, pastel-hued palette, the collaboration features a collection of playful essentials designed especially for the Spring/Summer season. Incorporating elements of both the real and virtual world, the classically sporty, crisp, luxury codes of Lacoste blend perfectly with Minecraft's iconic, pixel blocks, resulting in a fresh new rendition of the maison's signature green crocodile logo that lends a cool, contemporary, graphic element to the designs.   

Extremely relevant to the vintage sportswear trends appearing in current street style, the sporty-retro feel is enhanced by the collection's eye-catching, bright-pastel colour scheme. Soft, lemonade yellow, sugary cotton candy pink and a refreshing, mint green lend a touch of the '50s to a range of organic cotton t-shirts as well as an incredibly chic, oversized polo shirt.

Adding a hint of edge to the lightness of the pastels, the perfect Spring/Summer shades are seen teamed with graphic, black and white bottoms that create an interesting juxtaposition of style, enabling the wearer to create their own unique, style profiles.

The collection's Stretch Organic Cotton Joggers, in particular, make for a true statement piece. Presented on summer-perfect garments such as the Classic Fit Polo Shirt, Organic Cotton Cap and men's swimwear options that include two variations of swimming trunks, the zingy, energetic pattern is one that will stand out while at the beach or lounging by the pool.

Lacoste's crocodile has been cleverly redesigned and pixelated by the Minecraft Creative Studio, and iconic quotes from both the brands, revolving around the notion of play, are featured on key pieces including printed, oversized polo shirts, monochrome sweatshirts, caps, as well as more sportswear-centred garments such as logoed sports bras and tapered leggings.

For an edgier, motorsports-esque look, the collection also includes the Zippered Jacket in Black. Emulating a cool, bomber-biker jacket feel, it adds a touch of rebellion, showcasing yet another, trendy style aesthetic to mix and match.
