Maison Kitsuné is known for producing laidback, chic-and-sleek basics, so when it came time to find a chic-and-sleek campaign star, they found the perfect candidate in actress Rashida Jones. The photographs show Jones wearing a classic white baseball cap with the brand’s fog logo ordained in colors of the French flag and sporting a multi-colored v-neck cardigan. In another, she wears a simple white button-up that—the perfect example of the effortless, French girl style.
Jones’s ambassadorship is the first for Maison Kistuné and creative directors and co-founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki could not be happier for the collaboration, stating, “The Maison Kitsuné woman never seems like she is trying too hard. She is confident with a casual attitude and subtle but undeniable charm, has good taste and a playful sense of humor. For our first-ever Parisien campaign, we were looking for a strong, thoughtful, talented and witty woman. Rashida perfectly embodies the spirit of the Parisien collection—we are very excited to welcome her in the Maison Kitsuné family!”
The Parks and Recreation actress was photographed by British photographer Benjamin Lennox in items from the limited edition collection, including basic polos, as well as more festive pieces such as a T-shirt printed with the word “Parisienne,” as well as a key-chain and hoodie adorned with the tricolor fox logo. The brand’s partnership with Jones is said to help expand its presence in the US, which accounts for about 5 percent of Maison Kitsuné’s total sales. Considering Jones’s notoriety and aesthetic compatibility with the brand, the two seem to be a perfect match.
