Longchamp has teamed up once again with one of China’s most influential fashion bloggers, Tao Liang aka Mr. Bags, and this time it’s to celebrate the Year of the Pig.
This is the second time Mr. Bags, a social media phenomenon with millions of followers known for his passion and encyclopaedic knowledge of luxury handbags, and Longchamp have come together. Last year, Mr. Bags revisited Longchamp’s iconic Le Pliage Cuir, the travel bag of his choice and this year, he returns bringing his playful interpretation for the Year of the Pig – a zodiac which, for the Chinese, symbolises wealth and abundance.
Just in time for the Chinese New Year festivities, the collection of Le Pliage Cuir top handle and travel bags will feature the pig in a series of bold lines conjured by Mr. Bags himself. On the front of the bags, a curly tail; on the back, a pair of pointy ears and two dots for eyes; and under the familiar flap, a tiny fart.
The series also offers two other designs: a pouch with a zipped front pocket shaped like a pig’s snout and a transparent PVC tote with a pink, snout-shaped coin purse.
The Mr. Bags X Longchamp limited edition collection will be available at all Longchamp boutiques in Singapore from 7 January 2019.
