Max Mara's latest offerings heat up the concept of easy summer dressing.&nbsp;

Inspired by Francoise Sagan&rsquo;s literary masterpiece, Bonjour Tristesse, Max Mara&rsquo;s SS22 collection transports us directly to the summertime of the 1950s. As a modern-day manifestation of the novel&rsquo;s protagonist, C&eacute;cile, a chic but rebellious teen, the collection encompasses a child-like spirit.&nbsp;
The orchestra of parasol stripe prints, stomach baring midriffs, and vibrant colours reflect the Max Mara woman of the season; a vacationing intellectual, slightly bored and blissfully nonchalant. While the colours and prints bring to mind the softness of summer, that lightheartedness is contrasted by the heavyweight and rigid denim, giving the collection its utilitarian workwear feel. Finally, the footwear brings the dream of summer escape back together as the looks are completed with leather strap up sandals, emblematic of European summers.&nbsp;
