It's A Winter Fashion Wonderland At Bottega Veneta This Fall/Winter 2020
Creative director Daniel Lee opted to go the literal route when imagining Bottega Veneta’s Fall/Winter 2020 campaign, and it’s enough to send shivers down your spine — in a good way. In the midst of a veritable winter wonderland, models Abbey Lee Kershaw (!), Mona Tougaard, Tobias Dionisi, Quinn Mora, and Sascha Uhlemann brave the snow atop a powder-blanketed (indoor ski) slope in stark darkness, seemingly unperturbed by the cold and coolly clad in this season’s slick staples.
Lensed by ongoing collaborator Tyrone Lebon, these haunting visuals provide the perfect counterpoint to Lee’s latest collection, where he experiments with ’90s-esque minimal suiting, stretchy knits, exaggerated fringing, pops of acid brights, disco sequins, and naturally, plenty of the label’s signature intrecciato on statement bags. Among the key pieces highlighted are a plush shearling coat with floor-dusting fringe, a black slimline suit layered over a wide-collared green shirt, a figure-hugging, spangled red dress, the woven leather Crisscross clutch, and the biodegradable Puddle Boot.
