For Fall 2017, the brand rolled out two series of bag styles that are all about functionality and adaptability, one of which, takes inspiration from the famed Antigona. The other sits right in with a family of shoes, jewellery, ready-to-wear and tells a romantic story about strength.
The Duetto
If the name of this bag reminds you a thing or two about harmony, then you’re most likely tuned in on the same frequency as Ricardo Tisci. Named for its flawless combination of colour and texture, this cross body style makes the perfect companion for a larger bag and looks amazing when carried as a second bag. Borrowing the triangular flap from the Antigona, the symphony of that detail and the duo-leather element creates a visual effect that is architectural stunning. Even though the straps are fully adjustable, we recommend knotting the straps for an effortless, cool girl touch. Comes in seven colour ways but we’re sure in the season to come, there’ll be the eighth, ninth or more.
The Infinity
At one glance, it may be challenging to round up the similarities between this family of bags, but look closer, into the details, and take sight of the endless resemblances. The story is told as such: An unbreakable chain runs from the past to the future in Givenchy’s collection of ready-to-wear and shoes and jewellery and is now reinterpreted in a handbag collection. Refreshed seasons after season, the symbolism of strength, femininity, free-spirited nature and loyalty of these handbag styles represents the traits of every Givenchy woman. There’s total of six Infinity bag shape to choose from, whether you’re a ’70s Saddle girl or the bohemian Hobo type.
