For Fall/Winter 2026, Maximilian Davis draws from the 1920s and the charged energy of underground speakeasies to shape a story of migration, freedom, and after-dark elegance.

Creative director Maximilian Davis continues the house&rsquo;s conversation with the 1920s, the decade in which it began. This time, the era feels less like a distant reference and more like a living memory. The underground speakeasy becomes the central idea, not simply as a style cue, but as a symbol of spaces where rules soften, identities shift and freedom feels possible after dark.
The collection starts at sea. Naval uniforms are gently undone, with buttons slightly misplaced and fastenings left a little open. Authority is loosened and reworked. Nautical knits are needle-punched to change their texture, while workwear parkas appear in supple nappa leather lined with shearling. The practical details remain, but they are refined.

Water, and the act of crossing it, runs through the story. It reflects the journey of Salvatore Ferragamo, who travelled from Italy to America before returning home. It also nods to Davis&rsquo;s own family history, tracing a path from the Caribbean to Manchester. Movement shapes the silhouettes, suggesting ambition, reinvention and the pull of something beyond the horizon.
Then night falls. Slim metallic velvet dresses, floral jacquards and softly draped shapes recall the relaxed glamour of the Roaring Twenties. Cocoon coats wrap around elongated figures, creating a contrast between structure and fluidity. Throughout the collection, there is a clear tension between discipline and release, day and evening.
The colour palette feels gently aged, as though viewed through time. Inspired by cubist watercolours and sepia-toned surrealist photography, shades appear softened and muted. Organic cotton and recycled nylon pieces are dyed after they are constructed, giving depth and variation. Quilted leather is airbrushed for subtle dimension. Polished Gancini hardware adds a measured flash of metal, linking the archive to the present.

Accessories continue the story. For women, sharp stiletto pumps and deep-cut slingbacks reinterpret the 1954 ballet flat with nautical contrasts and jewelled finishes. The historic Shell shoe, known for its sole that wraps around the foot, inspires curved sandals with hybrid heels that flow into wedge shapes.
For men, elongated Oxfords with visible topstitching sharpen the line. A monk strap secured with a Hug closure adds personality, while a clean ankle boot keeps things minimal. In leather goods, a new graphic bag fastened with a Gancini plaque arrives in three sizes. The Hug returns in updated colours, alongside a practical crossbody utility bag and a braided calfskin Hug pouch that balance function with polish.
For Fall/Winter 2026, Ferragamo charts a course between open seas and hidden rooms, between inherited memory and forward momentum. The result is a wardrobe that moves easily from restraint to release, ready for whatever the night brings.
