What Went Down at Covetella's Glamorous 4th Anniversary Bash
It's been 4 years since Covetella launched its premier dress rental service, and within that time it has quickly become many a stylish socialite's go-to destination for gala outfit choices. To mark the occasion, Covetella has opened a roomy new showroom at APEX@Henderson, which now houses its ever-growing collection of designer dresses. And what better way to showcase those glamorous creations than with a fashion show?
That's exactly what Covetella did on January 30, at a carpark that was specially transformed into a runway for the event. Some 350 VIP guests showed up for the one-of-a-kind, "Industrial Glam"-themed fashion show, which was cleverly lit by the headlights of a Lamborghini Gallardo.
Following a heartfelt speech by Covetella founder Carol Chen, models strutted their stuff down the runway in cocktail dresses, ballgowns and other eveningwear accessories by the likes of Malena Couture, Sara Tasser and Hengki Kawilarang.
The show's stellar cast included Sukki Singapura, Singapore’s first burlesque dancer, as well as socialites Chloe Ng and Min-Li Tan; Benjamin Khoh and Paul Foster also made an appearance to debut Covetella's menswear line of beautifully tailored blazers.
The celebration continued long after the closing look was presented by Zahra Khanum. Guests were treated to exquisite champagne, cocktails and canapés as they checked out The Makeup Store’s makeover beauty bar, posed for a photo session by Nin9Studios or jammed to celebrity DJ Nicole Chen’s thumping mix. Later in the night, they were whisked away to The Monarchy, the swanky setting for the official Covetella 4.0 after-party.
