After a stint at Pitti Immagine Uomo and Tokyo Fashion Week, Japanese shoe label Onitsuka Tiger will be showcasing its Fall/Winter 2021 collection at Milan Fashion Week for the very first time. The brand's Italian roots – which hark back to creative director Andrea Pompilio's Italian background – are an integral part of the showcase, familiarising viewers with its "East meets West" sensibilities.
To the uninitiated: Andrea Pompilio boasts an impressive repertoire that includes a fashion design Master's from Milan's renowned Instituto Marangoni and years of experience at houses like Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein and Alessandro Dell’Acqua. Fast forward to today and Pompilio has built an undisputable name at Onistuka Tiger, creating state-of-the-art, futuristic kicks that have won the hearts of sneaker fiends everywhere.
