Not to be a Debbie Downer, but if you're already making your Christmas plans, you should probably check out the weather forecast for December. It looks like even the happiest time of the year isn't immune to bad spells of rain, something that Burberry perfectly demonstrates in its new star-studded Christmas campaign.
Directed by British artist Juno Calypso, Close Your Eyes and Think of Christmas offers a glimpse at the festive season with a distinctively British flavour. There's the good parts: a celebratory Christmas feast attended by the likes of rapper M.I.A and actors Matt Smith and Kristin Scott Thomas, as well as the tender, quiet moment shared between Naomi Campbell and her mother Valerie Morris-Campbell, both of whom are clad in pieces from the upcoming Vivienne Westwood & Burberry collection.
The campaign also presents some gritty realities that encourage you to heed the words of the film's title. Most of us know exactly what it feels like to be trapped on a long train ride on the way home like Kristin Scott Thomas (although, unlike in the film, our trains don't come with Thomas Burberry monogrammed upholstery).
Throughout the film, we spot several iconic Burberry pieces ranging from the Belt Bag to archive-print scarves and trench coats designed by Riccardo Tisci — pretty much everything on our wishlist this year. Check it out below.
