9 Best Celebrity Cameos to Grace the Runway

One of pop culture's most fashionable icons, Grace Jones made history walking the Spring/Summer 1986 Haute Couture show for Alaïa. Wearing an amazing fuchsia glittery dress, the model, singer, songwriter, and actress, Jones took over the show and made fashion history. 

Before she was walking down the runway for Savage X Fenty, Rihanna made her modelling debut for Dsquared2. Wearing a lingerie-inspired, asymmetrical black dress, the singer walked the Spring/Summer 2008 show for the brand. After collaborating with the brand for a promotional hoodie with her foundation Happy Hippie, Cyrus walked alongside models Bella Hadid and Liya Kebede for the show.

From entertaining us with the Sister Act films to making our hearts ache with 'The Color Purple', Goldberg has served as an influence to pop culture. For the Spring/Summer 2017 collection, Opening Ceremony enlisted Goldberg as one of their models. The show sparked conversations about political injustices, such as immigration, police brutality, and economic inequality. Goldberg used the show as a vessel to encourage people to vote, saying, "You should vote because if you don’t, you can’t bitch." 

Pushing a baby stroller with a white poodle in it, Madonna made news closing the Spring/Summer 1995 show for Jean Paul Gaultier. Wearing a white wedding dress, the singer made headlines with this iconic look. Now, this show and Madonna's look serve as outfit inspirations for countless '90s grunge Pinterest boards.

For the Spring/Summer 2022 show, pop sensation Dua Lipa walked down the Versace runway in two amazing outfits. She opened the show in a black blazer dress adorned with colourful safety pins and closed the event in a fabulous metallic pink dress. As a face and lover of the brand, Lipa fit right in with the rest of the Versace models.
