An exciting day for the maison and Taylor-Joy fans; Dior has officially announced the actress as their newest global brand ambassador for women&rsquo;s fashion and makeup. 
If you&rsquo;ve been following Taylor-Joy on social media, you&rsquo;ll find that the news comes as no surprise as the star has been known to favour Dior&rsquo;s custom gowns and makeup at notable events like the 26th Critics Choice and the 78th Golden Globes Awards over the years.

The House took to Instagram to share their excitement about the news, captioning their post as such: &ldquo;Dior is delighted to announce Anya Taylor-Joy as new global ambassador for fashion and makeup. Seen wearing several House creations in recent months, for the 26th Critics Choice Awards she epitomized modern elegance in a draped and macram&eacute;-detailed tulle gown from the Dior Couture Spring-Summer 2020 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri, with makeup by Dior Beauty.&rdquo;

Besides her latest partnership with Dior, Taylor-Joy&rsquo;s future projects include Edgar Wright&rsquo;s psychological thriller &lsquo;Last Night in Soho&rsquo; &mdash; in which the actress is also featured on the official soundtrack, singing her own rendition of Petula Clark&rsquo;s &lsquo;Downtown&rsquo;. 
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s not every day you&rsquo;re asked to record several versions of an iconic song,&rdquo; says Taylor-Joy on her Instagram post. &ldquo;The sounds of the 60s was what first made me fall in love with music so I was overjoyed when Edgar asked me to give it a go.&rdquo;

One thing&rsquo;s for sure, though &mdash; with Taylor-Joy&rsquo;s undeniable talent and esteemed projects that are sure to come, you can be sure to expect the star donned in more custom Maria Grazia Chiuri gowns during her time as Dior&rsquo;s global brand ambassador.
