3 Spring Trends to Wear From Dior's Lunar New Year Capsule Collection

Think woodland fairytale dream with these floral-butterfly motif bags. The whimsical spring-perfect prints appear on some of the maison's most popular and iconic designs. Two versions of the Lady Dior are presented as well as the Dior Saddle Bag and Dior Book Tote. 

Reminiscent of Chinese paintings, the different tones of pink blend together, creating a beautiful, watercolour effect that gives the white version of the Lady Dior a definite, folklore-esque charm. A flurry of pink-hued butterflies and floral foliage is seen splashed across its bright white body. The other bags feature less airy tones and come in a richer-hued motif. A perfect way to add a bright pop of colour to your street-style ensembles, the handpainted feel of the embroidered motif lends an added element of fresh, artistic uniqueness to the often graphic feel of streetwear that's much like the freshness of spring.      

The second sportier option comes in the form of a cream-based jacket that features '50s varsity black and white lines. The hardness of the sporty lines is softened by the multicolour motif, showcasing an array of antique, muted pastel pinks and deep reds that are brightened up with the addition of yellow. Wearing short-sleeved, button-up shirts tucked into high-waisted shorts was a trend in the '50s, and for the season, Dior freshens up '50s kitsch with a polished, modern, boxy silhouette featuring elegant black piping. The butterfly motif that lends a slightly vintage feel to the clean lines, continues in a multicolour variation that is dusted across the crisp white silk twill of a pair of shorts and a button-up shirt.
