The Divorce Between Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Takes A Tense, Overwhelming Course

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce is beginning to look like a nightmare none of them can wake up to. In the latest update of the proceedings, which has been ongoing since 2016, a filing leaked last week in which Jolie offered "proof and authority in support of" Pitt's alleged domestic violence for the trial. 

 According to close friends of Pitt, he is disappointed and totally devastated by the situation.  A source close to Pitt said: "Brad and his camp has never attacked Angelina. But his camp feels this leak was calculated to sway opinion ahead of the conclusion of their trial. Brad feels like he’s being more and more isolated from his children, and he’s devastated about it.”

While the Hollywood  ex-couple are already legally divorced, they are still are fighting in court over the terms of divorce and custody of their six children. Recently, part of the press reported that Angelina's lawyers had attached evidence of assaults she suffered while she was married to Pitt, where similar allegations were made when they initially filed for divorce in 2016. In addition, some publications also reported that the actress would be willing to summon one of her children as witnesses to testify in court.

Pitt has never been arrested or charged for any offense during his marriage to Jolie, nor were there any police reports made about any allegations of spousal abuse - though there was a widely publicized incident on board on a private jet with his family.

Jolie's lawyers and Pitt's advisers have not commented on the assaults. The divorce trial is expected to end at its next session, scheduled to be scheduled by the end of April.
