Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are Tying the Knot
The rapper proposed with a custom Stephen Webster ring adorned with their birthstones.
Close to two years after they started dating, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have officially announced their engagement on Instagram. Since going public, the couple has never been shy about expressing their love for each other, often seen at events with only eyes for each other and posting about their daily lives regularly on social media. Now, it seems we’re going to be seeing a lot more of that, along with the wedding preparations that are sure to come very soon.
On 11th January, MGK got down on one knee and proposed to Fox in front of a gorgeous banyan tree that holds significance for the couple. “In July of 2020, we sat under this banyan tree,” says Fox in her Instagram caption. “We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.”
“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.”
MGK also took to his Instagram account to share a closeup video of the custom ring he had designed by Stephen Webster. “Beneath the same branches we fell in love under, I brought her back to ask her to marry me,” gushes the artist. “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birthstone) and the diamond (my birthstone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love.”
The couple met for the first time on the set of their upcoming indie thriller – titled ‘Midnight In The Switchgrass’ back in March 2020 and have immediately taken to each other since. It is clear to anyone to see that their whirlwind romance was built to last.
As of now, MGK is set to release two new albums later on in the year. With this in mind, we can only assume that wedding preparations will begin after that.
